Build a plan around the business you operate
An ongoing plan starts with your current website, business profile, target services, and actual service area. I look for the most useful work and identify what needs your input or access before it can move forward.
The plan should fit the business rather than assume every company needs the same monthly package. Work is agreed in advance so you understand what is included and how priorities will be reviewed.
Improve the parts of the local presence that need attention
Depending on the scope, work may include service-page content, internal links, profile accuracy, coverage information, and the customer’s route to a call or quote request.
When services or coverage change, the website and profile should be reviewed together. Repeating near-identical pages for a long list of cities is not a substitute for useful, relevant information.
Report on work and evidence together
A report should explain what changed, why it was done, and what the available data shows. If rankings are discussed, the service, search term, and location being measured need context.
Where tracking is available, relevant inquiries can be reviewed alongside visits and search visibility. A click on a call button, a completed call, and a booked job are different events; the report should keep those distinctions clear.
Review priorities instead of repeating a checklist
Progress can vary by service, market, competition, and the site’s starting point. A quiet period may need investigation rather than a confident explanation based on a single number.
At each review, the aim is to identify the next sensible work. If your immediate need is a defined correction or page update, a one-time project may be a better starting point.
